Paolo Duterte tags corrupt media for demolition job: Pera-pera lang
After being linked to the corruption scandal in the Bureau of Customs, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte has accused some journalists of getting paid to spread lies about him.
In a Facebook post, the President’s son said it was “deeply lamentable” how some media practitioners have resorted to “cheap witch hunts and fishing trips” instead of practicing fair and unbiased reporting.
He said these journalists have also shamed the profession and the public when they report “unfounded claims and perverted admissions” to smear the reputation of persons.
“These journalists, who are quick to judge and are quicker to persecute people and public officials, are so obsessed with lies as they see truth in the filthy, the gunky, and the rotten,” he said.
“Kaulaw na lang gayud. #PeraPeraLangYan,” he said.
