Para umayos! Poe wants Lizada back as LTFRB spox

Senate public services committee chair Grace Poe wants Land Transportation Regulatory and Franchise Board (LTFRB) member Aileen Lizada back as its spokesperson, saying the agency has not conveyed its messages well after her resignation in January.
Poe appealed to LTFRB chair Martin Delgra to bring back Lizada as spokesperson, who resigned five months after she filed graft raps against three of Delgra’s staff, including his chief-of-staff Manolo Labor.
“We just need somebody to communicate,” Poe said Monday (October 10) in a Senate hearing.
Poe asked Lizada if she was forced to resign in light of the cases she filed against Delgra’s staff, but this was only met with silence.
When Lizada resigned, she did not give any reasons for her stepping down and instead told reporters covering the LTFRB to direct questions to Delgra.
But Poe pointed out that this has not been effective.
“Si Atty. Lizada, naging epektibo naman na nagpapaalam sa amin anong nangyayari sa LTFRB. Eh sinasabi daw po ninyo sa iba na pag mayroong mga tanong, ikaw magde-designate kung sino pwede or ikaw mismo. But then, they’re not always available and neither are you,” Poe said.
Asked by Poe if they preferred Lizada as the LTFRB’s spokesperson, transport groups present during the Senate hearing said yes.
Alliance of Concerned Transport Organization national president Efren de Luna even said, “Gawin na lang natin siyang chairman.”
