Pia Wurtzbach made this politiko attend session
It takes a Pia Wurtzbach to compel our representatives to attend the session for a quorum.
The House declared a quorum on Jan 26, 2016, shortly after Wurtzbach arrived at the plenary to be conferred with a congressional medal of distinction.
One representative was overheard by a reporter proudly claiming she arrived for the session to see Wurtzbach in the flesh.
“Kaya lang ako nandito kasi si Miss Universe,” one lady solon, representing the first district of Bataan, proudly exclaimed in the plenary.
After Wurtzbach left the plenary, the House roll call shows 173 members responding to the call, thus forming a quorum.
The House has been wracked with quorum woes in the past weeks, stalling the prompt passage of the Bangsamoro basic law in Congress.
