Robredo happy after Duterte’s ‘no cancer’ news
Despite stark differences over politics, Vice President Leni Robredo is glad that President Rodrigo Duterte is cancer-free.
According to the Vice President, it is important for public officials, led by the President, to be healthy, given all the work that is before them.
Kailangan talaga malusog kami,” she added.
Robredo’s comments came after Duterte said test results came back negative from cancer. He said he underwent such tests after the doctors found “growth” in his digestive track.
Raising the possibility of cancer when he revealed that he went through these tests, the President once again belittled Robredo, saying that she was “weak” to be his successor.
In turn, the Vice President reiterated her mandate as the duly-elected successor of the President, and called on him to instead focus on the problems the country is facing.
