Robredo tells donors for poll protest to go straight to SC. Here’s why
Vice President Leni Robredo has urged supporters who want to donate to her poll protest fund to go straight to the Supreme Court to give the money instead of proceeding to her office.
In an interview in Naga City Tuesday (July 11), Robredo said she cannot accept donations as a politiko.
Mayroong prohibition iyong mga government officials na tumanggap ng donations from private citizens,” she said.
A group of women has started a campaign dubbed “Piso para sa laban ni Leni” to raise funds for her counter protesy against former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
The Vice President still needs to pay P7.4 million by this week for the case.
The fundraising campaign for Robredo has managed to raise around P500,000, according to news reports.
