Selfie King to Epal King: Posters of Bong Go plastered all over PGH
Tarpaulin with the name and photo of Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go continue to show up in various places despite his denial that he will run for senator in 2019.
The latest place where his tarpaulins were spotted was the Philippine General Hospital.
Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Gideon Lasco on Wednesday (September 12) expressed disgust at the appearance of the tarpaulins, which were put up ahead of Go’s appearance at the opening of the Malasakit Center for indigent patients.
“Campaign material of Bong Go all over the Philippine General Hospital today. What a shame! I’m calling on hospital and university officials to take these down immediately!” he tweeted.
One of Go’s posters had the phrase, “Go na Tayo!” while another featured the words, “Salubong sa Pagbabago.” A photo of President Rodrigo Dutertewalking alongside his long-time aide was printed on the tarpaulins.
Duterte has repeatedly said that Go wants to run for senator but he has yet to confirm his political ambitions.
