Sinasanto amo: Trillanes slams Dick for being Duterte’s top lackey in the Senate

Oct 12, 2017 @ 9:02

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV accused Sen. Richard Gordon of covering up for presidential son, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and presidential son-in-law, Atty. Manases Carpio on their involvement in the P6.4-billion worth of shabu intercepted last May.

“This is a clear case of cover up ni Gordon para pagtakpan nya ‘yung kanyang mga amo sa pulitika, si (President) Duterte,” Trillanes said in an interview with Senate reporters.

Trillanes reacted strongly to the findings and recommendations of the Senate blue ribbon committee on its probe on the said shabu shipment that recommended the filing of charges against the Bureau of Customs (BOC), led by former Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon and six other private individuals.

I will not sign it. I will oppose it sa floor kapag in-sponsor nya (Gordon). I will oppose it,” he said.

The senator vowed to exhaust all means just so the said committee report will not be adopted in the plenary.

“I will make sure na hindi maa-adopt adopt ng Senado ‘yan. (Kasi) sa akin, dapat kasama sila dito sa pag-file ng kaso for importing illegal drugs,” Trillanes said, referring to the vice mayor and Carpio.

The Senate wants Faeldon and other BOC officials charged for graft, violation of the customs and tariffs administration as well as drug charges in relation to the handling of the shabu recovered from the raid or operation.

Trillanes pointed out that what the committee seemed to be have overlooked and did not pursue was the issue on who are the actual importers or owners of the said shipment.
