Siya ang mauna! Duterte dares Alejano to lead fight vs. China
President Rodrigo Duterte has challenged Magdalo party-list Rep. Gary Alejano to lead the war against China if he disagrees with the government’s strategy regarding Benham Rise.
Facing Filipino reporters in Myanmar Sunday (March 19), Duterte shrugged off Alejano’s plan to file a supplemental impeachment complaint against him for saying he has a deal on Benham Rise with China.
“So what? If he wants to fight with China, he can lead. I would be glad to send him as the first batch of delegation of Filipinos who’d want to take the Spratly Islands and all of those they occupied now,” he said.
“Sige. Siya ang mauna. Maraming galit na nangyari sa ganon. Ako, it would be a slaughter for the Filipinos to do that,” Duterte added.
Alejano, who filed the first impeachment complaint against Duterte, said he will file a supplemental case once he gets hold of documents showing the supposed agreement signed by the Philippines with China and the Philippines regarding Benham Rise.
Duterte earlier said he allowed China to conduct research activities in the area.
