Oct 13, 2017 @ 16:21

Nearly a majority of Filipinos are on the fence regarding the work and trustworthiness of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, according to a survey by Pulse Asia.

Results of the poll released on October 13 showed 33 percent of Filipinos approve of Alvarez’s performance as Speaker, down 10 points from the 43 percent he posted in June.

Only three out of 10 Filipinos, or 31 percent, trust Alvarez, lower than his June rating of 41 percent.

Despite hailing from Mindanao, approval for Alvarez’s performance skidded from 62 percent to 44 percent.

The erosion of trust for Alvarez was also apparent among Mindanaoans, as only 42 percent trust him in September compared to the 57 percent in June.

Pulse Asia’s survey was conducted from September 24 to 30.
