Starting early! JBC opens search for replacement of retiring SC justice Tijam
The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) has started accepting applications for a seat at the Supreme Court (SC) in anticipation of the retirement of Justice Noel Tijam this January.
The JBC announced that applicants have until Nov. 5 to file their applications and all of the documentary requirements.
“All incomplete applications and/or out-of-date documentary requirements and those submitted beyond the deadline shall not be given due course,” it said.
“The JBC is under no obligation to advise the applicants if they have incomplete and/or out of date documentary requirements,” it added.
Tijam is a fellow law graduate of President Rodrigo Duterte at the San Beda College.
He was the second appointee of Duterte at the SC.
Prior his appointment, Tijam has been a magistrate of the Court of Appeals (CA).
