Trillanes to file charges vs rabid Duterte supporter-blogger Thinking Pinoy over ‘fake news’ on him being called by Trump as ‘little narco’
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV will file a libel case against blogger RJ Nieto a.k.a. Thinking Pinoy before the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday morning.
His office has sent an advisory Tuesday to Senate reporters regarding his filing of charges in anticipation of a possible coverage.
Trillanes’ move was prompted by Nieto’s persistent “peddling” of a “fake news” that the lawmaker was a drug lord or was even tagged by no less than United States President Donald Trump as a “little narco.”
Nieto will be on the same boat as Presidential Communications Asst. Sec. Mocha Uson who was the first Duterte blogger to be brought to court by Trillanes.
Trillanes filed three counts of cyberlibel, one administrative case or violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act for using her position to cause undue harm and violation of RA 6713 or the Code of Ethics for Public Employees and Officials and grave misconduct.
The senator said he would seek for the immediate dismissal from office of Uson for allegedly spreading “fake news” about his supposed offshore bank accounts.
