Trillanes not interested with Senate presidency

Sep 29, 2017 @ 19:43

Senator Sonny Trillanes believes that he is not destined for the Senate presidency.

The former Navy captain made the remark when asked whether he is interested to become Senate chief after he sought the expulsion of Senate President Koko Pimentel.

“Hindi po. I know my place dito sa Senado,” Trillanes said.

He wants to oust Pimentel so that there will be a major revamp at the Senate and leads to the removal of Sen. Dick Gordon as chair of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee (BRC).

Trillanes claimed that the independence of the Senate will continue to suffer for as long as Gordon heads the BRC.

“I will put the blame and responsibility kay Sen. Koko. Kapag ‘di nila tinanggal ‘yan I will work hard para matanggal ni Sen. Koko si Sen. Gordon as BRC (chair),” he said.
