Trillanes: Roque has sold his soul to the devil
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Wednesday expressed disgust at Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque for dismissing reports on Chinese Coast Guards harassing Filipino fishermen in Scarborough Shoal.
Roque earlier reportedly said the fish-taking incident was a sort of barter trade between the two parties.
“Alam nyo pinapalala lang ni Roque ‘yung sitwasyon. Pinapalabas na talagang sya ay talagang sinanla na nya yung kaluluwa nya sa demonyo eh,” Trillanes commented to reporters in an interview.
It’s complete opposite, Trillanes said, of what Roque has become, from being a self-proclaimed rights advocate and lawyer in the past and a former congressman of a party-list that represents the marginalized sector that include farmers and fisherfolk.
“Tapos ngayon, sya pa nagiging apologists nitong mga ginagawa nitong Chinese Coast Guards sa ating mangingisda,” the senator said.
Clearly, Trillanes said, last Monday’s press conference in Malacanang where Roque presented three of the fishermen who alleged to have been harassed by Chinese Coast Guard personnel was a mere publicity stunt.
“Alam nila na tinatamaan sila ng batikos doon sa ni-report na ‘yan kaya kailangan nilang i-counter at i-coop itong fishermen, tapos (nag) fist salute pa parang sabihin na mga Duterte na ‘yang mga ‘yan,” he said.
