Trillanes scoffs at civil raps filed by Paolo Duterte, brother-in-law: Make sure you’re in power forever
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Thursday described as mere “harassment” the filing of civil case against him by resigned Davao City vice mayor Polong Duterte.
Duterte and his brother-in-law Mans Carpio filed the case against the senator for dragging them into the smuggling of P6.4 billion worth of shabu from China.
“It’s nothing but another harassment suit because our corrupt and coopted justice system have become the refuge of the Duterte scoundrels,” Trillanes said.
But, in a statement, he also left a warning to Duterte, “Just be sure that you’d be in power forever.”
“Because I have made it my life’s mission to make your murderous and corrupt clan accountable for your actions,” Trillanes told Duterte.
Duterte and Carpio filed the case at the Office of the Clerk of Court on December 27 and was electronically raffled to Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 15 under the sala of Judge Mario Duaves.
