Tuloy ang kaso! Sandiganbayan affirms graft raps vs. Syjuco over P30M project
The Sandiganbayan 7th Division has refused to dismiss the graft charge against former Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) director general Augusto Syjuco regarding his alleged involvement in the anomalous 2007 e-learning project worth P30-million.
The anti-graft court has issued a resolution which junked his motion for reconsideration asking to dismiss the case.
“The Court finds no valid reason to disturb its earlier findings,” read the resolution which affirmed its earlier ruling.
“Notably, no new matters have been raised in the instant motion for reconsideration,” it added.
The court pointed out that Syjuco’s motion for reconsideration “merely repleads the same arguments, which had been considered and passed upon in the Resolution sought to be reconsidered.”
The case stemmed from the awarding of the project to Prime Logic Corporation.
The Office of the Ombudsman which filed the charges pointed out that the deal was made with PLC despite several procurement irregularities and fraud in the transaction including PLC’s poor qualifications to implement the project.
