Tuloy ang ligaya: DOLE lifts work stoppage order on 319 fireworks establishments

It will be business as usual for 319 more fireworks establishments after the Department of Labor and Employment lifted the work stoppage order on them.

The DOLE said the 319, located in Luzon and Visayas, were found to be “compliant with the general labor and occupational safety and health standards.”

With this, the DOLE has lifted the work stoppage order on 493 establishments. It lifted the WSO on another 174 establishments earlier.

Some 131 establishments are still undergoing assessment by the DOLE’s regional offices.

The WSOs stemmed from the explosions in fireworks and pyrotechnic shops in Bulacan that killed five people and injured 30 others.
