Two-timers: Trillanes dares Duterte to fire Maza, Ridon to prove he’s done sleeping in bed with commies
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Wednesday dared President Duterte to prove the sincerity of his decision, declaring the New People’s Army (NPA) as terrorist organization by removing in his Cabinet or in the Executive some known left-leaning officials.
“Kung totoong wala na, hiwalay na sila, wala na yung partnership nila, dapat tanggalin nila yung mga komunista sa Gabinete ni Duterte,” the senator said.
Trillanes cited in particular former party list Reps. Liza Maza and Terry Ridon.
Maza who has been appointed by Duterte to sit in the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) and Ridon, former representative of Kabataan party list group has been named chair of the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP).
“Mga members ito ng central committee ng CPP, sina Liza Maza, Terry Ridon marami yan. Nnandudun pa rin sila (sa administration) eh. Parang namamangka sa dalawang ilog silang dalawa,” the senator said.
Trillanes first made the call in July, telling Duterte to fire communist leaders in his Cabinet following his order for the military to crush the NPA.
