Undersecretary Badoy says Martin Andanar wanting to quit PCOO: It’s a thankless job!

Secretary Martin Andanar does not mind being relieved of his post as chief of the Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO), Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy said.
Badoy, in response to a query on her Facebook account Saturday, said that Andanar, a former television news anchor, would be willing to quit if President Rodrigo Duterte asks him to.
“Sec Martin has been wanting to be relieved of his post for quite a while now,” said the former assistant secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
“It is a thankless job,” she further said.
Badoy also confirmed that Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. “has been offered Sec Martin’s post.”
Andanar, the PCOO official added, will “most likely be given a cabinet post (because) he’s super galing.”
Duterte earlier advised Roque, who is reportedly planning to run for senator in the 2019 midterm elections, to remain as his spokesman. The chief executive also offered him a new position quite similar to his job.
