‘Wag niyo kami idamay sa baho ni Cesar! Sunshine Cruz: I bought everything my kids have
Actress Sunshine Cruz has taken to social media to defend herself and her children amid criticism that they might have benefitted from the money earned by Cesar Montano when he was Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).
In a Facebook post, Cruz made it clear she and her three daughters don’t want anything to do with Montano anymore.
“People are now questioning the food we eat and clothes my children wear because of a person who we/they don’t get to see anymore,” she said.
Cruz said she told her children “not to be embarrassed” because she provided for all of their needs.
“Pagkain, damit, ultimo sasakyan nyo ako ang bumili para sa inyo,” she said.
The actress said she works hard for her children.
“Kung may kasalanan sa inyo ang ibang tao, don’t involve other people, especially my children,” she said.
Cruz and Montano have been estranged from each other for several years, amid allegations of the actor’s cheating and child abuse.
Montano recently resigned from TPB amid allegations of corruption over the “Buhay Carinderia” project.
Under his watch, TPB paid “Buhay Carinderia’s” organizer P80 million even before the project started.
Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo Puyat has ordered the Commission on Audit to probe “Buhay Carinderia” and other projects that the TPB lined up for this year.
