Who’s sick? Bong Go says he, Duterte feasted on papaitang kambing
If food is any indication of one’s health, President Rodrigo Duterte must be well since he still feasted on papaitang kambing during the birthday of his long-time aide.
Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go shared what he and Duterte ate on his birthday on Wednesday (June 14) amid rumors surrounding the Chief Executive’s health.
Go said that while he did not host a party, he and Duterte ate dinner together.
“Si boss nagpaluto ng papaitan,” he said in a text message to reporters Thursday (June 15).
Like other administration officials, Go said Duterte was merely absent in the public eye because he was resting.
“Basta nag-rest lang. Nasanay lang kayo araw-araw nakikita ang Presidente natin,” he said.
Duterte has not been seen in public since June 12, when he skipped the Independence Day rites at Luneta.
Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said Duterte needs to rest since his schedule has been “brutal” these past few weeks.
