Malacanang reminded on Tuesday progressive groups such as Bayan Muna, Gabriela, and Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) to “work within the law.”
On December 3, President Rodrigo Duterte said he supports the police in filing kidnapping and human trafficking charges against former Bayan Muna representative Satur Ocampo and 17 others for transporting 14 minors in Davao del Norte without parental consent.
Duterte also accused Bayan Muna, Gabriela, and KMU of being communist fronts.
“They should always work within the law. Kung ginagamit silang fronts ng armed elements ng NPA, may problema tayo,” said Panelo in a press briefing.
“They can be charged with it,” he added.
