After AlDub snub, Mar gets Daniel Padilla as endorser

November 7, 2015

In a bid to court youth voters, administration standard bearer Mar Roxas has tapped Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla to endorse him in the 2016 elections.

Padilla’s support for Roxas was known after the showbiz heartthrob posted tweet with a link to his interview with Roxas on YouTube. The tweet, which has been “liked” 6,800 times as of Saturday (Nov. 7), was accompanied by a photo showing him seated with the Liberal Party’s presidential bet.

The video, which was shot in Padilla’s posh abode, had him asking Roxas about the youth’s concern on the worsening traffic situation in Metro Manila.

Roxas replied that a solution to the capital’s traffic woes is now forthcoming with the construction of the NLEX-SLEX connector road that would supposedly help decongest EDSA.

Aside from the construction of new roads, Roxas said the government is also working on changing the system of granting franchises to public utility buses.

The interview ends with Roxas telling Padilla, “Makakaasa kang malinis, maayos at mangyayari itong mga proyekto natin.”

Towards the end of the video, the hashtag “#DanielMarPaMore” was flashed, indicating there would be other interviews involving Roxas and Padilla which will be uploaded soon.

Padilla’s endorsement of Roxas comes at the heels of the administration standard bearer’s reported failure to get the support of the widely popular “AlDub” love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza for his campaign.

It was reported that Roxas’ camp offered Richards a P100-million endorsement fee but the Kapuso actor still refused to endorse him.
