Broadcaster Ben Tulfo said Sharon Cuneta has no one to blame but herself for the bashing directed at her daughter, Frankie Pangilinan, on social media.
In his July 3 column for Pilipino Star Ngayon, Tulfo took issue with Pangilinan’s decision to share excerpts from her old diary about the impeachment trial of the late Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona in 2011.
Pangilinan, then 11, personally watched the trial at the Senate since her father was Senator Francis Pangilinan.
Tulfo said Pangilinan showed disrespect to Corona’s family for digging up her old notes about the impeachment trial.
Tulfo earlier called Pangilinan “hija” and derided her for saying women shouldn’t be told how to dress to avoid being raped.
“Hija, a rapist or a juvenile sex offender’s desire to commit a crime will always be there. All they need is an opportunity when (sic) to commit the crime. Sexy ladies, careful with the way to dress up (sic). You are inviting the beast (in man),” Ben tweeted in response to Pangilinan’s comment on rape.
