Duterte’s niece thinks Inday Sara not competent, ‘doesn’t have temperament’ to be president

Nuelle Duterte, daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte’s younger brother, believes that Davao City Sara Duterte-Carpio isn’t competent to serve as president.

Although she has yet to decide if she would run for the country’s highest elective post, Duterte-Carpio has been consistently topping surveys of possible presidential candidates for the 2022 general election.

“As president, I don’t believe so,” Nuelle, a psychiatrist by profession, said in an interview on “Facts First with Christian Esguerra” podcast.

Duterte-Carpio, according to her, does not have the right personality for Malacañang.

“I don’t think she has the temperament to be a president of a country. That requires a great deal of discipline, patience, (and) integrity. So, I don’t think that she’s able to handle all the things that she’ll be required to handle with the office,” she added.

Nuelle also called the recent issue between the President and his daughter a “play” to assess how the public would react.

“I am sure they argue a lot. I would say the family’s very prone to arguments and debating, especially with political news. But that particular argument, specifically, is not really real because either way one of them is going to run or both of them are going to run. Someone is going to run,” she explained.

Last week, Duterte-Carpio urged Duterte and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go to “own up” to their decision to run as tandem in the 2022 national elections, and told them to leave her out of their plan.
