Toxic! Robredo’s kakampinks alienate voters, think they’re better than the rest – analyst

December 6, 2021

Will Vice President Leni Robredo rein in her supporters allegedly spewing hate ahead of the 2022 presidential elections?

As Robredo takes a shot at the presidency, her pink army or kakampinks have drawn criticisms over their alleged self-righteousness and arrogance.

Top political strategist Malou Tiquia shared her concern about the Robredo camp, saying they believe they are better than other people.

Hit or miss? Robredo flexes ‘kamehameha’ attack in viral TikTok video

“I share the contents of the post. They alienate voters. They consider themselves as better than the rest of us. The change in the color did not change anything. Sad. As someone who helped out in 2016, the debate prep and the transition, truly sad,” she tweeted.

Tiquia was commenting on an online post about liking Robredo but detesting her supporters for hating people voting for other candidates. The anonymous post, shared by Twitter user @canete_darwin, wrote that Robredo’s fans “act as if sila ang tama at bobo, tanga at immoral na yung iba.”

“I don’t see democracy there. I don’t see respect,” the post read.

“If they continue what they are doing, they would only push people away from Leni. I don’t hate Leni, but her supporters make me hate their cause because of how they badly treat other groups of supporters,” the post said.

Robredo, who is seeking the presidency as an independent candidate, has veered away from the traditional yellow associated with the Liberal Party and chosen pink as her new campaign color. She has been busy visiting various places where she has been welcomed by her kakampinks. Robredo had already declared that pink was not just a color but a lifestyle of hope and love, and not hate and conflict.

Pink is more than just a color: Robredo tells kakampinks to spread love and kindness; ‘Madaling makipagtalo, mas radikal ang magmahal’
