A kakampink celebrity has complimented Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso on his ability to connect with people.
The actor-turned-politiko has demonstrated good communications skills when he participated in a recent KBP presidential forum, according to television host Bianca Gonzalez.
“Mahusay talagang communicator si Yorme,” Gonzalez tweeted on Saturday.
The Manila mayor, standard bearer of Aksyon Demokratiko, is among the five presidential aspirants who participated in the KBP forum last Saturday.
When asked why he should be the country’s next president during the KBP event, Mayor Isko declared he could “get things done.”
“Ako po, aplikante po ninyo. I can get things done, kaya ko po ‘yung trabaho at may resulta at may pruweba. ‘Yan po ang aking obligasyon sa inyo,” he said.
Gonzalez, a supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo, meantime does not see anything wrong with giving credit to other candidates. She frowned on hating rivals of a preferred candidate.
“Reminder: you don’t have to dislike the competitors running against your candidate. Pwede namang mag give credit pag may magandang plataporma o proyekto,” she said.
“Pagkatapos ng halalan, sila sila din ang magtutulungan to lead our country along with our President,” she said.
While she is impressed with Mayor Isko’s communication style, Gonzalez praised Robredo’s performance during the KBP forum despite enduring poor internet signal. She said Robredo still gave direct and clear answers to questions raised during the pre-election event.
“Ang mga WFH alam ang struggle to keep your calm, composure and focus kapag hirap kumapit ang internet. Si Madam VP hindi nagpapatinag, derecho at klaro pa rin maglatag ng sagot,” she said.
