There’s a new batch of kakampinks.
Five star volleyball players from Ateneo de Manila University have declared support for the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo.
The pro-Robredo athletes include Alyssa Valdez, Jian Morado, Jem Ferrer, Ponggay Gaston, and Dennise Lazaro-Revilla. The declaration of support coming from Ateneo women’s volleyball team was announced on Twitter by Valdez as well as Team Ateneo on Wednesday.
“Iboboto ko si Leni dahil sa lider na tapat, maasahan ang serbisyong nararapat sa bawat Pilipino,” Valdez tweeted.

Team Ateneo also shared on Twitter about the support shown by Valdez and four other athletes for Robredo. The hashtag #OnePinkFight was included in the social media post.
Gaston wrote that she supports Robredo’s presidential run, confident that she will bring hope and good future for Filipinos.
Lazaro-Revilla, for her part, believes that public service will be a priority under a Robredo presidency. “Iboboto ko si Leni Robredo dahil sa Gobyernong Tapat, uunahin ang serbisyo sa mamayang Pilipino,” she said.
Morado wrote: “Iboboto ko si Leni Robredo dahil naniniwala ako siya ang tunay na Balaban para sa akin, sa pamilya ko, at sa ating mga Pilipino.”
Ferrer is confident about the capability of a woman president in the country. “Iboboto ko si Leni Robredo dahil the last man standing is a woman.”

Robredo, a lawyer and a former lawmaker, is vying for the presidency to take the place of President Duterte in the May elections. Many groups have already endorsed Robredo’s presidential run, believing in her integrity and competence.
Robredo is competing with rivals, including former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Senators Manny Pacquiao and Panfilo Lacson, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, and labor leader Leody de Guzman, in the presidential race.
