Unfazed by online attack, Aika Robredo urges kakampinks to stay focused on campaign

Don’t lose focus.

Aika Robredo, eldest daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, is unperturbed by the latest online demolition job against her as the campaign season heats up.

Aika would rather focus on the campaign to boost her mom’s presidential bid than dwell on the fresh online attack.

“Tara na! Focus tayo,” she tweeted on Monday.

Aika made the comment in reaction to Jake Ejercito’s tweet about following in her footsteps on conducting house-to-house campaign for Robredo. “Stand with Aika. Do it like Aika. Tao sa tao, ngiti sa ngiti,” the son of former President Joseph Estrada, a supporter of Robredo, tweeted.

Earlier, links to bogus sex video of Aika circulated on social media. The camp of Robredo has condemned the online circulation of the “malicious fabrication,” saying it is a ploy to distract supporters in the run-up to the May elections. Possible legal action is also being explored against those behind the online attack.

With a few weeks before the elections, Aika has been helping her mom’s presidential campaign by going from one house to another to court voters. She admitted that campaign rallies are “great energizers” but face-to-face meeting with people is still important for an effective presidential campaign. In campaigning for Robredo, she also appealed to kakampinks to avoid name-calling and stay calm, humble, and caring.
