Malacañang has declared June 24, Friday, a special holiday in the city of Manila.
Based on Proclamation No. 1400 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, the non-working holiday has been declared in celebration of the 451st founding anniversary of Manila.
“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Manila be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to the public health measures of the health government,” the proclamation read.
A copy of the holiday proclamation was released by the Palace on Tuesday.
