Senator Bong Revilla made an extra effort to show his love and devotion to his wife Cavite Rep. Lani Revilla on their wedding anniversary. But apparently, Rep. Lani forgot all about their special day.
On March 25, Revilla showed he has not lost his romantic touch when he presented his “dearest mama” with a bouquet of flowers and a touching love letter at home.
In a video clip shared on social media, Rep. Lani was visibly touched and surprised by her hubby’s loving gesture, especially since she had forgotten about their special day.
“Alam ninyo si Senator Bong talagang walang kupas — maalalahanin, hindi nakakalimot. Ako pa yung nakalimot ng anniversary namin today. Grabe,” Rep. Lani said in the Facebook video.
The politiko couple marked their 25th church wedding anniversary on March 25. But they have actually been married for 36 years as they first got hitched in California on March 28, 1987.
Despite Rep. Lani’s forgetfulness, Revilla did not hold a grudge. His love for the actress-turned-politiko remains unwavering.
In another Facebook post, the senator even shared snapshots of their celebration, along with a swoon-worthy letter for his wife.
“I know counting our lives tied as one will continue to go on and on, as long as we live here on earth and even beyond. You complete my life and you are destined for me, as I am for you,” he said.
“Here is looking forward to our Golden Anniversary At kahit maputi na ang ang buhok natin, ikaw pa rin ang pinakamagandang bride na lalakad papunta sa altar, sa naghihintay na pinakapogi naman na groom sa altar. Again and again, I will never get tired of telling you I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, MAMA KO,” he said. The letter ended with the message: ‘Yours forever, PAPA.”
