As Mother’s Day draws near, former Speaker and incumbent Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez has renewed his call to pass the divorce bill aimed at helping mothers who are victims of “unfortunate marriages.”
Alvarez said the proposed bill provides critical safeguards and resources for mothers during the divorce process, ensuring that they receive the legal protections, support, and rights they deserve.
Let’s give the necessary legal protections and support systems for mothers, allowing them to rebuild their lives and create a brighter future for themselves and their children,” he added.
Alvarez said that he understands the “emotional toll that unfortunate marriages take on mothers and their families.”
On Sunday, Alvarez said, “let us celebrate the strength and resilience of mothers, honoring their sacrifices and dedication.”
Alvarez urged his colleagues to support the bill.
