Former Vice president Jojo Binay is filled with joy and pride for having Senator Nancy Binay as his beloved daughter.
In a loving birthday tribute shared on Facebook, Binay hailed Nancy for being a good daughter as well as a remarkable public servant. He wished her good health and continued dedication to public service.
Senator Nancy celebrated her 50th birthday on May 12.
“Happy Birthday, Nancy! Golden girl ka na! Palagi kong dasal ang iyong maayos na kalusugan at patuloy na paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan,” the elder Binay wrote on Facebook.
The same post included the former vice president’s video tribute for Senator Nancy.
In the clip, Binay praised Nancy not only for being a kind, responsible and loving daughter, but also an amazing sister to her siblings.
Nancy has a busy schedule as a senator and a devoted mother to her own family, but the former veep is moved by her ability to still find time for her parents.
“Nakakataba ng puso na makita na kahit na ikaw ay abala sa iyong trabaho sa Senado at magíng sa sarili mong pamilya, nakakapaglaan ka pa rin ng oras para sa amin ng iyong ina,” he said.
“Mabait, responsable at mapagmahal sa iyong mga kapatıd at magulang, tunay na maswerte kami dahil nabiyayaan kami ng isang panganay na anak na gaya mo,” he said.
Binay’s message to his daughter ends with a heartfelt affirmation of his unwavering love and support for her.
“Ipagpatuloy mo pa ang iyong tapat na paglilingkod-bayan at lagi mong tatandaan na sa bawat yugto ng iyong buhay, nandito lang kami na laging sumusuporta sa iyo. Happy birthday anak. Mahal na mahal ka namin.”
