‘We miss you, PNOY’ – Mar Roxas

The death of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino continues to cast a profound shadow over the hearts of many.

Among those heartbroken by Aquino’s passing is his friend and running mate, former Interior and Local Government Mar Roxas.

Aquino, who led the country from 2010 to 2016, passed away on June 24, 2021. Two years after his death, he was fondly remembered with love and gratitude by his family and friends.

Roxas, a former senator, took to Instagram to express her heartfelt sentiment about Aquino accompanied by a cherished photograph. The snapshot shows the two allies in a precious moment of laughter.

“We miss you, PNOY,” Roxas wrote on Instagram.

Roxas, who has stepped away from politics after his defeat in the 2016 presidential polls, was among the allies present during memorial service on Aquino’s second death anniversary.

The service, attended by Aquino’s family and friends, was held at his resting place at the Manila memorial park in Parañaque City.
