Former Vice President Leni Robredo just had the most heartwarming day in Tondo, Manila on Thursday, August 31.
Robredo dropped by at “Better World Tondo,” a food bank and learning hub initiated by San Miguel Corporation in Manila.
The former veep was absolutely impressed with the community center as well as inspired by the incredible stories from the people she met.
“Visited Better World Tondo this afternoon. So inspiring to listen to all the wonderful stories of the partners, volunteers, mothers and students and to witness first hand what a beautiful community we can build out of collaborations,” Robredo said in a Facebook post.
Apart from providing food to the poorest communities, the Better World Tondo is also an education hub that provides skills building and values formation.
According to Robredo, the San Miguel Foundation project is made possible in partnership with Rise Against Hunger and AHA Learning Center.
“Looking forward to future partnerships with them,” she added.
Robredo, who ended her six-year VP term last year, is currently busy supervising her Angat Buhay Foundation. The group is focused on carrying out community-centered development programs on education, health and nutrition.
