Actress Janice Jurado has spilled the beans on how the two daughters of the late action star Fernando Poe Jr., more popularly known as FPJ, reacted to the news of her affair with her father.
In an interview posted on broadcaster Julius Babao’s vlog, Jurado said Grace has long known about her relationship with FPJ.
“Alam niya,” the 62-year-old actress said, adding that Grace often saw her at their house when FPJ called for her to give financial aid.
“Pero hindi nila akong nakitang bumabalandra doon,” said Jurado, who claimed that her affair with FPJ lasted for six years.
FPJ was married to the actress Susan Roces from 1968 until his death in December 2004.
Jurado said Lovi was only able to confirm her affair with FPJ when they were together shooting ABS-CBN’s television series, “Batang Quiapo.”
Jurado said Lovi asked her during one of their tapings if the news about her relationship with FPJ were true. She confirmed it.
Lovi held no grudges against her, Jurado said.
“‘My (mommy) naman, mas maganda ‘yung marami akong mommy. Wala namang problema ‘yun,” Jurado recalled Lovi as saying.
Jurado said there’s no truth to rumors that she was axed from “Batang Quiapo” because Lovi was offended by her revelation about the affair with FPJ.
She said her departure from the series was expected since Lovi also exited “Batang Quiapo.” They were casted as workers in a sexy bar.
Jurado hinted that she might return to the series.
“Pumasyal ako sa bahay ni Mokang (Lovi Poe’s character). Hinanap ko siya. Isang stepping stone na ‘yun na hindi ako mawawala kasi alam ko ang bahay ni Mokang,” she said.
