Prangkahan na! Duterte could talk to Xi about Chinese ships’ presence near Pagasa Island- Palace

Malacanang said the presence of Chinese vessels near islands occupied by the Philippines in the West Philippine Sea may be tackled during the bilateral meeting between President Rodrigo Duterte and President Xi Jinping during the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing next week.
In a media briefing Thursday, Spokesperson Salvador Panelo cited the possibility of China responding to the issue, noting the Philippines has filed a diplomatic protest already.
“Baka lumabas yun sa usapan. Baka sila na mismo ang sumagot dun. Ni-raise na nga natin e,” according to Panelo.
“I don’t know if he will raise (the presence of Chinese vessels). My educated guess is since we have already raised that they may respond to that during the bilateral talk,” he said.
Duterte is scheduled to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum from April 24 to 27 after the Chinese leader invited him to the summit in November last year.
Xi made a two-day state visit to the Philippines in 2018.
