Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta is convinced that the budget reduction in the PAO forensic laboratory was meant to derail the investigation on the Dengvaxia mess.
“Pinapatay po iyong ating kapangyarihang mag-imbestiga,” she said during an interview over DZMM on Thursday (Dec. 12).
“Para matigil na rin siguro iyang imbestigasyon sa Dengvaxia,” she lamented.
The PAO has been filing complaints before the Department of Justice (DOJ) on behalf of the families of Dengvaxia victims.
However, during budget hearings in Congress, the P19.5 million allotted for the PAO forensics lab has been blocked by some legislators.
