The Public Attorneys Office (PAO) hopes to file next month 102 complaints before the Department of Justice (DOJ) on behalf of the families of victims who got inoculated with the anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia.
She said during an online press conference that “102 cases po ang napipintong I-file.”
“Ready na po ang 97 cases at ang lima po ay on process pa ng PAO forensic team,” she bared.
Acosta noted that the 102 involves 101 Dengvaxia recipients who died and one who survived after suffering severe dengue.
The PAO has been assisting the families of victims in the prosecution of Dengvaxia cases pursuant to the 2017 order of then Justice Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre II.
At the moment, Acosta noted that there are currently 40 complaints pending resolution before the DOJ after undergoing preliminary investigation.
