Agri, infra damage from ‘Tisoy’ reaches P4.6-B

Agriculture and infrastructure damage caused by Typhoon Tisoy in the regions of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol and Western Visayas has reached PHP4,589,467,768, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Monday.

In the same update signed and released by NDRRMC executive director Ricardo Jalad, damaged infrastructure was placed at 328,296 in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas and Caraga.

Families affected by Tisoy have now reached 360,765 families or a total of 1,560,463 persons residing in 3,044 barangays in Central Luzon, Bicol, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga.

A total of 135 road sections and five bridges were also affected, of which 22 roads and three bridges are still not passable as of this time.
