Alam na this! Bato: PNP has lead on Metro Manila-wide kidnapping rumors
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has already a “theory” on why there was a reported surge of online reports regarding kidnapping of minors in the cities of Pasay and Quezon.
Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa stressed this on Monday when sought for comment on the reported abduction of children and teenagers – which was being shared on social media.
“Alam ko merong teorya na sinusundan ang PNP tungkol dyan [sa reported abduction],” Dela Rosa said in a text message.
“And I’m not at liberty to tell you kung ano ang kanilang theory,” said Dela Rosa, chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.
He added, “Mamaya ma-jeopardize ang kanilang operation d’yan. So, alam ko meron silang sinusundan na lead d’yan.”
Senate President Tito Sotto said, “I’m sure they (PNP) know what to do. [The] PNP does not need prodding from politicians and armchair critics.”
Dela Rosa also allayed the fears of the public about the reported disappearance of children and minors.
“Huwag silang matakot d’yan. Mga isolated cases ‘yan,” Dela Rosa said.
“Merong apparently merong commonality sa mga pangyayari na ‘yan na pareho silang in-abduct. Magba-barkada ba ‘yan? Magkakakilala ba yang nga bata na ‘yan?” he asked.
