Alan taunts Leni’s ‘zero killings’ policy in drug war: Paano ‘yung pusher na pumapatay sa inosente?

House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano has taunted Vice President Leni Robredo over her proposed “zero killings” in leading the anti-illegal drug enforcement of the Duterte administration.
Cayetano’s remarks came following Robredo’s pronouncement that killing will not be part her policy as new co-chair of the Interagency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
“Anong ibig sabihin mo ng stop the killing? Huwag patayin ang pusher? Eh paano yung pusher na pumapatay sa mga inosente?” said Cayetano in an ambush interview.
Cayetano reminded Robredo that the reason why President Rodrigo Duterte decided to pursue his controversial drug war from the start of his administration was due to the ballooning number crimes involving drug users.
“Parating sinasabi na stop the killings. Eh kaya nga tayo may drug war. Masyadong maraming napapatay every year, everyday dahil sa droga,” the House leader stressed.
“Paano yung droga na pumatay, hindi lang ng mga pangarap, hindi lang ng katawan kundi maging kaluluwa ng tao ‘di ba?” he added.
With the appointment of Robredo as ICAD co-chair, Cayetano said he hopes that she and her allies in political opposition, particularly those in the Liberal Party (LP) will stop politicizing the Duterte administration’s policy in dealing with the country’s drug mess.
“Hopefully pag pasok ni VP, in the same manner na sinabi ng oposisyon na huwag pulitikahin yung pag pasok ni Vice President Robredo eh yun din ang hinihingi namin sa oposisyon. ‘Wag ninyo pulitikahin ang drug war,” said Cayetano.
“The drug war, it’s just a drug war. It’s campaign against illegal drugs,” he said.
