Alaskahan na! Villanueva revels in UST win among UP alumni senators
The lone University of Santo Tomas (UST) alumnus in the Senate is having the time of his life.
Senator Joel Villanueva is ecstatic over the victory of the UST Growling Tigers against UP Fighting Maroons Wednesday night.
Joining other alumni and students, Villanueva watched the basketball game and cheered on his alma mater. He then returned to work in a roomful of UP alumni including Senators Sonny Angara, Richard Gordon, Franklin Drilon and Ralph Recto.
“Yung ganadong ganado ka bumalik sa trabaho pagtapos ng game kasi sobrang masaya kwentuhan at alaskahan,” Villanueva wrote on Facebook, sharing photos with the senators chatting about UST taking the second slot for the UAAP Season 82 men’s basketball Finals.
“Congratulations to the Thomasian community Thank you Lord Jesus! What a game! Definitely one for the books! Hats off to UP Fighting Maroons #GoUSTe #UnendingGrace #VPositive,” he tweeted.
Villanueva earned his commerce degree from UST before taking graduate
studies in Harvard University.
