Albayalde not yet off the hook, Magdalo solon says

Magdalo Party-list Rep. Manuel Cabochan III said he hopes that resigned Philippine National Police chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde will be given the proper venue to face the allegations against him after being implicated in the drug recycling scandal.
“I hope the authorities will pursue the cases regarding this issue which will also provide Police General Albayalde the proper venue to answer the allegations against him,” Cabochan said in a statement.
Albayalde during Monday’s flag ceremony at Camp Crame announced he will be relinquishing his post as PNP chief effective immediately and go on a “non-duty” status “after careful thought and deliberation.”
Cabochan said with Albayalde stepping down as the country’s top cop, he hopes that his move will spare the PNP from being dragged further amid the “ninja cops” controversy.
Cabochan stressed that although he respects Albayalde’s decision to leave the leadership of PNP, that doesn’t mean that Albayalde “is already off the hook from his alleged role in the drug recycling involving the police.”
