Former Interior and Local Government Secretary Raffy Alunan is dismayed with the alleged “lousy” telecommunications service of Smart Communications.

In a Facebook post, Alunan scored Smart for its apparent failure to improve their service, prompting him to look for another telco provider.

“SMART is making it difficult for customers like me to pay on time,” he said.

“Parang they don’t care to correct their deficiencies, only for customers to pay on time for their lousy service,” he said.

Frustrated with Smart’s service, Alunan now wants to tap another telco provider, this time, a company that offers fast and reliable service. He listed down four crucial qualities for a preferred mobile carrier.


Alunan said he wants a telco company that provides “rapid response/professional customer and technical services” and “prompt/accurate hard or customer-friendly soft copy billings.”

The telco provider must also have “debugged and interactive artificial intelligence” and “fast and reliable connectivity,” Alunan said.

Alunan also called on the government to do something about the poor telco service in the country. “Gobyerno, step in for crying out loud. Ang hina nyo,” he said.
