Senator Richard Gordon is impressed with the creativity of the inmates of Tagaytay City jail.

Gordon recently bought six paintings made by the inmates during an exhibit and remained hopeful that such rehabilitation effort will be replicated in other prisons.

“Purchased six of these paintings, with the proceeds going towards the Tagaytay City Jail and to the inmates. It warms my heart to know that Tagaytay’s BJMP employs alternative forms of rehabilitation. Really hoping other BJMPs follow suit,” he tweeted.

“One of my staffers at the event was amazed to see an amazing art collection. His jaw dropped when I told him these paintings were made by inmates of Tagaytay City Jail,” he said.

The works of art included paintings of a jeepney, windows, houses and birds.
