Mga Binay ba ‘to? Vice Ganda calls family of corrupt politikos ‘kapal’

Comedian Vice Ganda can be as frank as he is gay. And when the subject is about Philippine politics, the usual suspects had better run for cover.

On “It’s Showtime” Monday, the popular host and actor sounded off on local politikos particularly those who still salivate for a higher elective post despite being limited by age or capability.

“May ganyan tayong politiko ang tanda tanda na mahina narin ang pangangatawan pero ayaw bumitaw sa posisyon!” said Vice, who is Jose Marie Borja Viceral in real life.

“Dahil ba talaga sa na niniwala kayo, kayo talaga ang karapat dapat o meron pa kayong hindi nakukuha sa posisyon na yan?, ayaw bumitaw! na ang dami naman pwede eh ang daming mahuhusay,” he pointed out.

The 39-year-old likewise has strong opinions about corruption in government, calling the politikos who fattened their pockets that way “thick-faced”.

“Lahat ng kinikita ko pinaghirapan ko! Hindi katulad ng iba ang kapal ng mukha niyo! Ang laki na ng kinita niyo tatakbo parin kayo?” asked Vice.

Without naming any politiko in particular, Vice went on to add: “Tapos sabi pa sa speech papabagsakin niya daw ang mga corrupt o anong gagawin? Pababagsakin ang pamilya niya eh di nag away away kayong magkakamag-anak.”

The comedian further mocked Philippine politics, noting that it’s quite normal here for one family to hold major posts in government.

“Uso naman dito sa pilipinas yan eh President, Vice President, Senator, Mayor lahat isang pamilya lang naman yan,” he said. With the 2016 elections just around the corner, expect Vice to launch more diatribes. (Samantha A. Giron)
