There are heartwarming moments of humanity as Filipinos help each other after the onslaught of typhoon Ulysses.

Senator Sonny Angara has recognized the work of the brave frontliners, particularly those conducting rescue and relief efforts for Filipinos stranded in their flood-hit communities. The senator expressed his gratitude to the soldiers, cops, coast guards and other frontliners who waded through floods to help people in need.

“We really appreciate our other frontliners aside from our health workers during these times. Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽 our soldiers police coast guard fire and rescue personnel,” the senator tweeted. He was commenting on video report by Inquirer on Twitter about the Philippine Coast Guards conducting rescue operations in flood-hit Marikina.

Angara also sent his team to conduct relief operations in Albay, one of the areas hit by the typhoon.

“Tabang sa kalamidad. Nanguna sa paghatid ng relief ang tanggapan ni Sen. Sonny Angara sa mga residente ng Brgy. Buraguis at Brgy. Puro, Legazpi City, Albay na kabilang sa mga naapektuhan ng sunod-sunod na bagyo sa Bicol region,” a post from the Angara camp read.
