The Supreme Court (SC) said the lockdown of a Muntinlupa regional trial court (RTC) got extended after another staff got infected with the COVID-19 virus.

“Muntinlupa City RTC Branch 205 extends physical closure until July 23, 2020,” read the SC’s Twitter post.

The SC indicated that Muntinlupa Executive Judge Antonetta Pablo Medina gave the directive to extend the lockdown of RTC Branch 205 which was supposed to end on July 15.

“In view of a second confirmed report of a COVID-19 case involving a court personnel…RTC-Br. 205 shall continuously be physically closed until July 23, 2020,” read her memorandum.

“However, the court may still be contacted through official hotline and judiciary accounts to ensure that urgent concerns are addressed and important queries are answered,” she advised the public.
