Senator Joel Villanueva is extremely disappointed with the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) under Secretary Adelino “Addy” Sitoy.
Villanueva is blaming the PLLO’s incompetence for the two bills – coco Levy trust fund and security of tenure – vetoed by President Rodrigo Duterte in the last five months.
“This is the worst PLLO na naranasan namin. Parang kitang-kita na nag-less active this time. This is not just one, andyan po ang ibang vineto yung coco levy, ibinalik pa namin at nag adjust ng rules, pinagdebatehan ng husto…then all of a sudden it was also vetoed,” said Villanueva in an interview with DWIZ radio.
Villanueva hoped that with the President’s former special assistant Bong Go now a senator, the Senate would have a direct line on what Malacanang really wanted with the refiling of the two vetoed bills.
“Malaking bagay na andyan si Senator Bong Go perhaps he would able to hear himself from the President ano ba talaga ang gusto nya. We wanted to find out ano ba talaga ang sistema at maging panuntunan natin para maging harmonious ang relationship,” he said.
