Arraignment of teacher who threatened Duterte pushed back to June 25

Prosecutor General Benedicto Malcontente sa the Olongapo City regional trial court (RTC) has concelled the arraignment of teacher Ronnel Mas on Thursday (May 28).

“Reset to June 25,” said Malconte about the arraignment of Mas who is facing charges of sedition for a Twitter post he made which made threats against President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Accused filed motion to quash,” explained the prosecutor general.

Mas arrested on May 11 by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Zambales for posting last May 5 on Twitter:: “I will give 50 million reward kung sino makakaptay kay Duterte.”

He was eventually released after having posted a P72,000 bail.
